Wings of Becoming
A Butterfly Wing Art Series

Ten works of art. Each one a threshold between darkness and light, between grief and becoming, between those who came before us and the spring that calls us forward.

March 20 – April 19, 2025  ·  A new work every three days  ·  All pieces offered freely

Artist's Intention:

The butterfly does not choose its transformation, it surrenders to the dark. It dissolves.

These ten pieces are made from the wings of butterflies who have completed their journey. These wings held the knowledge of flight, of color, of freedom and of growth. They are offered to you today as medicine. As permission. As proof that something extraordinary waits inside every instance of darkness you are moving through.

Our ancestors speak to us in spring. They come in the flutter at the edge of your vision, in the first warmth on your face after a long winter. This series is a conversation with them, and an invitation for you to listen.

Title:"The Keeper of Visions"

Gallery Description:

The ancestors do not always come as we expect them.

This owl, assembled entirely from the wings of butterflies, arrived at the intersection of two great symbols of the spirit world. The butterfly, who knows the journey through darkness into light. The owl, who sees what others cannot, who carries the messages of those who have passed, who watches over us in the in-between hours.

She is made of flight. Her eyes are the eyespots nature painted on wings long before she came into being, as if the butterflies always knew they were becoming her.

Released on the Spring Equinox, she opens this series as a guardian. A signal that the ancestors are watching. That the visions you've been receiving are real. That someone who loves you is still close.

She was always here. You just had to be ready to see her.
